I’ve always envied those people who at the age of nine or twelve already knew what they wanted to do when they grow up. One of my friends, for example, always wanted to be a drummer and play jazz, and, no surprise, he became a professional musician.
In my case, it took me decades to figure out what it is that I want to do in life to be myself and feel happy. Well, it is better later than never. Now I know that I want to draw. I want to learn the craft of drawing and painting, I want to learn this wonderful art of storytelling that doesn’t use any words, only pencil lines and brush strokes. I know this is a long journey that requires devotion, hard work and persistense. I also know that many discoveries and surprises await me and I am ready and happy to learn from so many talented artists that exist in the world, and maybe one day I’ll be able to call myself an artist as well.
If you are curious how far one can get or you are a budding artist yourself and your dreams are similar to mine you are welcome to join me in my travel full of lines and strokes.
